Paradox: The New High-End Road Bike from Vélobsessive

When designing a road bike, less is more. But we put a lot of emphasis on lightness. The result is eerily beautiful. All of this sounds paradoxical, and it is: Our latest road bike model, Paradox.

It’s called Paradox because with our new flagship model, we’ve achieved the nearly impossible: a high-end road bike with a breathtakingly innovative design and best racing components at an affordable price. We are sure: Paradox will light up your eyes, too.

Paradox: Captivating at First Glance

An innovative frame with elegantly curved stays, aerodynamic fork, and seat post, silk-matte special painting with metallic effects: the design of the Paradox captivates at first glance. At second glance, the technology of our new high-end road bike makes hearts race: The Paradox is the most aerodynamic and efficient road bike from our factory.

Paradox: Breathtaking Design in Nazaré Blue

In Nazaré, Portugal, on the Atlantic coast, there are the biggest waves in the world. To ride these waves, big-wave surfers need optimal preparation and the best equipment. As road bike enthusiasts, we ride the big waves of the roads with the Paradox, in nimble climbs and fast descents – with a breathtaking design in Nazaré Blue.

How the Paradox Got Its Name

As a bike manufacturer, Vélobsessive stands for classic craftsmanship: Even the smallest screw is tightened by hand. With this attention to detail, we create premium bikes that meet the highest standards. Our road bikes unite opposites: purism and technical innovation, lightness and top performance, high-end road bikes and affordability. This is especially evident in our new flagship model. That's why we named this Vélobsessive model: Paradox.

Traditional cycling enthusiasts and purists – which we consider ourselves at heart – often prefer simple, classic designs and materials. At the same time, we want to offer as much efficiency and riding pleasure as possible. To achieve this, we rely on innovation and digital technologies as much as on traditional craftsmanship.

Paradoxically Affordable

High-performance road bikes are often extremely expensive – and the performance gain from an expensive bike can be limited. Not so with the Paradox: Our new flagship model puts your energy on the road so efficiently that you'll notice it immediately. The Paradox is certainly not cheap. But compared to many other high-end models, it is affordable – paradoxical in the best sense.

Maximum Performance for All Conditions

When developing our new flagship model, we paid special attention to providing you with the optimal mix for maximum performance. The Paradox is even lighter and more aerodynamic than our other models. For maximum efficiency, high-end components were used.

Aerodynamics

The carbon frame of the Paradox is perfectly balanced for stiffness, aerodynamics, and lightweight. The elegantly curved rear stays provide extremely low air resistance, as do the flattened fork and the particularly aerodynamic seat post.

Shifting

The electronic Shimano Dura-Ace group has been upgraded for the Paradox with high-end components for maximum efficiency. Among other things, with particularly low-friction ceramic bearings for the bottom bracket and the oversized pulley wheels in the derailleur.

Drive Train

Other special components, such as the particularly low-friction KMC DLC chain or the lightweight carbon chainrings from Carbon-TI, help you transfer power to the road without unnecessary loss.
