Jennifer Lachmann rides “Princess of Orange” at the Race Across Germany

Ultra-cycling athlete Jennifer Lachmann decided to ride Vélobsessive’s top road bike model “Princess of Orange” for the Race Across Germany. Jennifer will tackle the 780 km long non-stop route between Aachen and Görlitz in September 2021 and hopes to qualify for the Race Across America in the coming year by participating in the Race Across Germany. The race was originally planned for June 2021, but had to be postponed to September due to Corona.

«The Princess of Orange offers an optimal combination of lightness and aerodynamics and is therefore ideally suited for this long route. In particular, the exceptionally light aero wheels with carbon rims and titanium spokes offer little air resistance and are ideal for the mostly flat route profile. At the same time, I can easily cope with the climbs of a total of 7800 meters with this lightweight racing bike", says Jennifer Lachmann about the Princess of Orange.

Thanks to the cooperation with Vélobsessive, the road bike was specially made to fit for Jennifer. Frame size, seating position and the setting of the handlebars have been precisely measured and adapted to her needs. In addition, Vélobsessive has also made some optimizations for this racing use, such as a perfectly fitting, comfortable saddle, a configuration of the electronic gear shifting based on Jennifer's habits, light tires with extremely low rolling resistance and still good puncture protection as well as some weight optimizations using special components.

Jennifer’s Princess of Orange:

• Carbon frame with disc brakes

• Aero carbon wheels with titanium spokes (80mm rear rims, 60mm front)

• Shimano Ulterga Di2 electronic gear shifting 50/34-11/30

• Selle San Marco Supercomfort saddle

• Deda Elementi handlebar and stem with integrated cable routing

• Vittoria Corsa tires

• Tubiloto tubes

• Garmin pedals with power measurement
